Intern Job Description   

Are you passionate about Customer experience, ServiceNow platform and Software services? Do you like big challenges and working within a highly motivated team environment?  You will be part of a journey to transform the customer experience of more than 20,000 users, in one of the largest transformation programs at Comcast.

As a Product Intern on the Reactor – IOP team, you will work with the Product management organization of IOP (based on Servicenow platform) and be involved in all aspects of on boarding new users to the platform. IOP is a unified ticketing platform with built in ITSM capabilities, that provides simplified customer experience. You will get an opportunity to work with Comcast users, understand their requirements, be part of developing Agile user stories and help define their customer journey on IOP.

Who will the intern work with?  

The intern will be part of the product management team, consisting of product owners, business analysts who are responsible for working with customers to understand the requirements, defining the roadmap and managing end to end transformation for the users.

Internally you will work the architects, engineering leads to define the solution.  We‡re a group of experienced technical minds who are the last word when it comes to solving problems encountered by our production support teams.

What are some interesting problems the intern will work on?

In your role, you will bridge the gap between customers, engineering organization and operation teams.  You will constantly work with product managers in defining the priorities for customer intakes, features to be implemented and work with the agile scrum masters as needed on the delivery side. This is a great opportunity to get a first hand experience of end to end product development on a large transformation program.

In addition when required, you will work with incident managers to triage problems, work on root cause analysis, and develop dashboards for management reviews.

Where can this intern make an impact?  

You‡ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast constantly working on automating workflows and redefining the business metrics for operations. While we are working on a Saas ITSM platform, success is defined by the business metrics on Network reliability and Predictability of the services that Comcast offers. That‡s what we contribute to by predicting outages and reducing the number of customer facing issues.

Job Responsibilities 

Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

·   Be part of discussions with users, understand requirements for customer onboarding to a ITSM platform.

·   Get involved in End-to-end program and stakeholder management.

·    Analyze of intake/onboarding request – data analysis, impact on performance, impact on user experience etc.

·   Work with UX team and develop wireframes as needed

·  Planning of User Stories to iterations / sprints

·   Develop detailed document for onboarding, new features etc.

· Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills 

· Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Computer / IT Management, IT / Business management

· Good understanding of Software development practices

·  Strong computer science fundamentals

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements 

· Currently pursuing a bachelor‡s degree from a United States-based college or university

· Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024, Spring 2025, December 2025 or Spring 2026.

· Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship

· Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

· Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program

· Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting. Internship roles will be office-based with no virtual offerings.

· Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)

Salary:

Base Pay: $32.00

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
