Join us for a 12-week paid Summer 2023 Internship designed to let you apply your classroom learnings to real world challenges. Our internships have a thoughtful balance of networking, executive speakers, community involvement, big meaty projects (no paper filing here!) and fun!
What you‡ll do on the Design System team:
Craft engaging written content to document HP’s design system
Collaborate with product designers, user interface designers, and software engineers to improve the design system website
Write and edit technical instructions to help user interface designers and software engineers leverage the design system
Take ownership of your projects and guide them from beginning to end
Employ HP‡s voice, tone, and style
Assist writing announcements to communicate with Veneer‡s users
Learn about the software design process from end to end
Follow the existing work processes while contributing to improvements
Assist in documenting issues and contributing to ad hoc writing decisions
Help identify short- and long-term strategic plans for content creation and publication
We are looking for the following skills:
Curiosity and a demonstrated ability to learn on the job
Excellent understanding of the theory and practice of the English language
Interest in design systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Great organization and attention to detail
Thoughtful, constructive critiquing
Disciplined time management
Enthusiasm to learn new skills and disciplines
Spirit of collaboration
Education and experience required:
2nd or 3rd year complete Bachelor‡s degree – typically a technical degree specialization
Or Bachelors degree + 1st year of Master’s program completed.
Bachelor or Master of Arts preferred
