Website NVIDIA
NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI – the next era of computing – with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company.” We’re looking to grow our company, and form teams with the smartest people in the world. Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.
We‡re looking for an outstanding intern to contribute to the RAPIDS ecosystem by helping develop our accelerated data science frameworks and using them to build data science workflows. RAPIDS brings accelerated computing to the data science ecosystem by combining the performance of GPUs with the ease of use of Python, Scala Spark, and modern C++ APIs.
What you‡ll be doing:
Develop end-to-end workflows that highlight the value of accelerated computing in areas such as natural language processing, time series forecasting, and more
Contribute to core open-source accelerated computing libraries like cuDF (dataframes), cuML (machine learning), Dask (distributed computing), and RAFT (vector search and databases)
Conduct performance analysis, benchmarking and troubleshooting for GPU-accelerated libraries and workflows
Share insights from your experience to help influence the RAPIDS roadmap
What we need to see:
Pursuing a graduate degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Math, Computational Sciences, or related)
Excellent Python programming, debugging, performance analysis, and test design skills
Experience working with common Python data analytics and machine learning libraries including pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy, Dask, PyTorch, etc
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and algorithms/mathematics fundamentals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Professional experience working in data science or in software development at a data-oriented organization
Experience contributing to and working with open-source software communities
Experience with C++/CUDA or experience developing Python bindings for C++ libraries/tools
Experience developing for distributed systems using Hadoop, Spark, Dask, Ray or similar technologies
NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and talented individuals in the world working for us. If you’re creative and autonomous, we want to hear from you!
The hourly rate for our interns is $19 – $93. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
