Technology Summer Internship Program: Technology Risk 

Calling all emerging technologists!

Looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in the field of technology risk analysis? The Technology Summer Internship Program is a critical program within Technology Services that helps passionate early career professionals gain real-world exposure to groundbreaking technology.

Technology Risk Track 

Technology Risk Interns work collaboratively with Technology Risk teams to pursue a broad range of initiatives. By using technical skills and an inquisitive mind, interns will help build a well-controlled operating environment that is sustainable, scalable, and efficient utilizing a data first mindset, with high skilled resources, and streamlined processes to proactively identify, manage and measure risk

The Technology Risk Intern will:

Assist with the oversight of process, controls and testing approach
Participate in traditional and proactive risk and control assessments
Manage, review and report on the issue portfolio
Participate in issue validation activities
Note: This Internship Program begins in early June 2024

Experience during the program
In this 10-week program, interns will gain a strong understanding of Technology Services at Citizens. This program also provides mentorship, exposure to senior leadership, and participation in a variety of activities to further develop professional skills, including:

Orientation with all Technology Services interns
Professional development workshops (such as Personal Branding and Communicating with Impact)
Social activities (such as sporting events and a bank-wide intern BBQ)
Dedicated community service activities
Life after the program
High-performing interns interested in pursuing a career in Technology Services may be extended an offer to return as a Full-time colleague in our Technology Development Program (TDP) upon graduation. The TDP is a full-time program that helps rising professionals build a meaningful career within software, network/systems, data or cloud engineering and technology risk.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor‡s degree in Information Security and Assurance, Computer Science, Software Development or other technology-related degree.
Expected graduation date of May 2025
Minimum GPA 3.0.
Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:

Cybersecurity and Cloud coursework or experience preferred
Please note that U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available for this position and candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F 8:30am – 5pm
