Commercial Summer Internship Program
The Commercial Summer Internship Program is designed to give interns a look at Citizens Bank‡s culture and exposure into one of the many commercial banking business lines through project-based assignments, learning curriculum, networking, volunteer opportunities and formal mentorship. Responsibilities will vary based on the group you‡re assigned to and will leverage your unique skills and abilities.
Treasury Solutions Overview
Treasury Solutions is a core component of the Commercial Bank providing transactional product and advisory support across our full Commercial client base. Treasury Solutions is responsible for the product development, sales, implementation, and account management of the full breadth of treasury products including cash management, liquidity, commercial card, integrated fintech solutions and trade and supply chain finance.
Responsibilities
Treasury Solutions Generalist:
Primary role of the intern will be to support initiatives underway as well as some daily routines within the Treasury Solutions organization. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Administrative, analytic, research and project management support for Treasury Solutions high visibility projects and initiatives underway.
Rotation through select Treasury Solutions business lines (i.e., Product, Sales, Revenue Management and Business Support) to gain a front to back understanding of the Treasury Solutions business, clients, and measures of success. In addition, dedicated time will be spent with all Treasury Solutions business line leaders, key staff, and business partners.
At the conclusion of the 10-week program, high-performing interns will be considered for a potential offer for direct employment into the Treasury Solutions team.
Treasury Solutions Relationship Management:
Responsibilities will be focused on client engagement and development activities, working closely with sales leaders, product partners and TS Relationship Managers (TRMs).
Primary role of the interns will be to support initiatives underway as well as some daily routines within the Treasury Solutions organization. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Assisting and supporting Treasury Solutions Relationship Management teams with high visibility projects and initiatives underway, including client presentations, analyses, and sales opportunity research.
Three-week rotations through additional Treasury Solutions business teams lines (i.e., Product, Revenue Management and Business Support) to gain a complete understanding of the treasury solutions business, clients, and key business objectives.
Cross-functional exposure to Treasury Solutions business line leaders, key staff, and other Commercial business partners.
At the conclusion of the 10-week program, high-performing interns will be considered for a potential offer for direct employment into the Treasury Solutions Relationship Management Development Program as Jr. TRMs. Permanent job location could be in any of our sales markets.
Qualifications
Current students enrolled in an undergraduate program, graduating between Winter 2024 – Spring 2025
Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5
Relevant work experience or coursework in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred but all majors will be considered.
Strong analytical skills and software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency is required.
You must currently be a U.S. Resident to be eligible for this program.Please note that U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available for this position or for full time Analyst positions and candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
