Job Description

Intel’s Technology Development Component Research (TD CR)  team is looking for a passionate intern to join our team as an RF/mm-Wave engineer intern supporting the mm-Wave systems and packaging team and laboratory. Final scoping of project will be determined based on intern experience and business needs.

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a PhD degree in one of the following disciplines: Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering with knowledge in electromagnetic theory.
3+ months experience in employing electromagnetic simulation tools such as DS CST, Ansys HFSS and Keysight Momentum.
Preferred qualifications:

Experience in the analysis and design of passive RF/mmWave devices and components on semiconductor packaging substrates and/or on semiconductor ICs.
Experience in employing lab characterization tools such as network analyzers, mixers, power meters, frequency extenders and willingness to work in a lab environment performing hands-on measurements.
Familiarity with computational electromagnetics and coding electromagnetic problems in Matlab, Python or else.
Familiarity with COMSOL for simulation of multi-physics phenomena is a plus.
Have a proven track record of role modelling safety in a lab environment.
