The ERAM program within the Leidos Civil group is seeking an System Engineer Intern who will be a member of a dynamic team working on the Federal Aviation Administration‡s En-Route Automation Modernization ERAM) technology, which is the heart of the Next Generation Air Transportation System and the pulse of the National Airspace System.The program is committed to assisting the FAA customer advance our transition from a ground-based system of air traffic control to a satellite-based system of air traffic management. ERAM is vital to the future of air navigation, providing the foundation for NexGen functions.

Primary Responsibilities

The candidate must have some exposure to, or ability to learn, good system engineering practices to contribute to and/or assist with system architecture, system concept development, requirements engineer, operational and decision analysis, systems definition, system risk management, and requirements baseline management. The candidate will also support analysis of system functional change requests and problem reports, and provide SE support to the software development and integration and test teams.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

US Citizenship Requirements

Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
