Zurich is currently seeking rising Juniors & Seniors, pursuing their Bachelor‡s Degree to join our Actuary Internship Program for Summer 2023 in our New York and Schaumburg HQ offices.
We are looking for students interested in developing their actuarial careers! Actuaries are data driven problem solvers whose work incorporates data analysis, finance, accounting, economics, coding, and data science. Our actuarial summer internship program provides the opportunity to become familiar with company operations, business objectives, and actuarial methodologies, all while building your network of business professionals.
As a summer intern at Zurich, you will work directly with experienced actuaries to gain hands-on, real-world application of actuarial principles. You will have the support, guidance, and supervision of a mentor. Assignments may include assisting with pricing studies, profitability reviews, calculating premiums or reserves for new or existing products, and performing research and other statistical analyses in support of Zurich‡s business strategies. As a wrap up to your internship experience, you will have the opportunity to showcase what you‡ve learned by presenting an overview of one of your key projects to your peers, leaders, and other members of the actuarial community.
As part of the actuarial organization at Zurich, you can have long term career opportunities that include exposure to a broad array of commercial product lines and markets as well as different actuarial functional teams such as pricing, pricing tools, reserving, analytics, etc. We also offer a large population of credentialed and actuarial professionals at a variety of career levels, providing opportunity for learning and mentoring alongside other dedicated industry professionals.
The positions available will be located in our headquarters office location in Schaumburg, IL or our World Trade Center location in New York, NY.
Zurich works on a flexible, hybrid work model. This means your time is usually split between days working in the office, and days working from home.
