THE TEAM
The Corporate – Internal Audit department in Houston, TX is currently looking for a dynamic, energetic, and detail-oriented Internal Audit Intern who is eager to learn about our company and join our Americas Internal Audit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing administrative and clerical duties as needed, as well as shadow and communicate effectively with staff at all levels to quickly understand business processes, identify potential risk areas and help devise practical solutions to issues affecting our company.
THE ROLE
The Internal Audit Internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real world experience with the world‡s leading live entertainment company. This is a paid, in-person internship reporting to the Internal Audit Management team and provides on-the-job experience in finance, accounting, and auditing in the fun and enjoyable music industry. Applicants should be in the Houston area during employment to be considered and are expected to work in person and be on-site at our Live Nation office in Houston Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Assist lead auditor during the various phases of the assigned audit engagement
Assist in testing and evaluation of internal controls related to the Group‡s accounting and financial reporting functions in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
Assist with the preparation of audit test plans, data analytics, uploading data and preparing documents request lists
Prepare and complete audit work programs and document control test results and findings
Gain an understanding of processes currently in review within each location and identify key controls and risks.
Assessing risks and evaluating the department’s internal control structure
Assist in the gathering of information and formatting of data requests
Fulfilling Ad-hoc tasks / projects set out by audit team and supervisory management
Attend meetings and take notes
Adhere to department policies, procedures, and control expectations
Other duties as assigned

The intern will have the opportunity to learn about key areas of our business, including related risks and internal controls
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Ablility to work at least 20 hours per week
A final year student or recent graduate
Creative thinker and problem solver
Flexible and able to adapt to a variety of roles, projects and changing demands
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Able to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities
Confident, assertive, and self-motivated
A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute assignments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
An interest in the music/entertainment business is strongly preferred
Great organizational skills, eager to learn and proactive with new tasks
