Description: Assist IT Department with hardware and software support by performing helpdesk tasks, participating in a new program computer rollouts, and documenting processes and changes.
Key Tasks
Interface between the IT Department and different departments to deliver elevated/tailored support to their programs, computers and other IT needs
Image, program, configure computers that will range from Laptops for users to Manufacturing equipment computers (MEC‡s)
Work with Controls Engineers and Electrical Staff to keep track of Rockwell Licenses, Rockwell documentation and other Engineer specific software
Develop strategies to upgrade old and out of warranty computers
Order and inventory MEC‡s as they will be unique from other computers
First line of troubleshooting for BorgWarner computer‡s and other interfaces/programs
Implement and follow IT standards to control the IT environment
Liaison between the needs and wants of different departments and what IT staff is able to do
Work with Electrical engineers and IT to implement projects for Networking and Manufacturing
Education Requirements Include:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor‡s Degree in Information Technology or a related field with a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0.
Additional Requirements
Experience completing a computer setup, performing helpdesk tasks, and hardware/software tasks.
Excellent communication skills required – oral and written
Good multi-tasking skills
Ability to drive for results is essential
Ability to do logical problem solving and critical thinking is a must
Ability to efficiently and affect document “How-To‡s” and other IT documentation
Basic understanding of engineering principles
Understanding of Networking basics
Understanding of Windows 10, 7 and XP
Willingness and desire to learn.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
