The selected candidate will interface with a Lead Designer and/or Product Engineers for direction and job assignments. He/she may be responsible for multiple job assignments at a time. Excellent communication skills are required as this position may be the focal point for evaluating information from various sources to be translated into engineering drawings and models.

Design Intern- Morse Systems

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Generating detail drawings and/or 3D models of Morse Systems product assemblies and components per provided information from Product Engineers and Lead Designer. Necessary skills for accomplishing this function are:Good working knowledge of design and drafting fundamentals-modeling and detailing.
Should be familiar with GD&T
Must have the ability to create drawings/models from supplied information such as sketches, marked prints, catalogue references, layouts and other information supplied by product engineers and other designers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Working knowledge of CATIA V5, R19 or higher, 2D and 3D required
Training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred
Associates Degree, or pursuing Associates Degree minimum
Experience in engineering field preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes beneficial
Knowledge of PRO-E CREO or NX 7.5 or higher a plus
