The Systems Administrator Intern will install, configure and support the servers, network, and end-user systems. Monitor servers, network, and end-user systems to ensure security and availability. Perform necessary maintenance/updates to servers, network, and end-user systems. Participate in continuous learning to stay with current technology changes. This position does not work on software related to the company‡s products.

Your role in our team
You will install and Configure end user systems
You will monitor security vulnerabilities
You will provide technical support for both hardware and software issues
You will respond to and resolve help desk tickets
You will install and test computer-related equipment and software
You will manage active directory (setting up new users and groups and assigns permissions)
You will perform network maintenance/updates (may require work during non-standard work hours)
You will perform installs and sets up computers, printers, software (hardware/software)
You will perform maintenance and updates on computers and printers
You will perform software maintenance updates
You will manage security of network including wireless network and security software
You will communicate with and supports all departments by designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions and answering questions
You will provide direction on technical matters, trouble-shooting and optimization recommendations within areas of expertise
You will formulate operating system advancements and performs improvements
You will evaluate impact of hardware on software performance and you will recommend changes to hardware designs
You will participate in systems training
You will communicate professionally with outside IT resources to resolve issues outside our capabilities
Your profile
You have obtained a high school diploma or GED equivalent
You are currently working on a complimentary degree or certification
You have knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc…)
You have knowledge of server operating systems (Windows)
You have knowledge of active directories
You have knowledge of Microsoft exchange
You have knowledge of security
You have knowledge of wireless networks
You are able to communicate clearly and effectively via verbal and written communication skills
You have the ability to work independently and with others effectively
You must be professional and handle confidential information
You must be able to prioritize tasks
