Job Description
The Logistics Intern / Warehouse, Transportation and Global Trade will support designated projects within the NAM / MX Regions. Duties will include coordination of meetings, recording of MOM, collection of data, analysis of data and facilitation of tasks associated with assigned projects. The Intern will work within our Global Services Team and provide assistance with task such as, running daily reports, verifying data, analyzing data, mapping processes and other task as assigned. The Logistics Intern will apply a range of skills including training, reporting, analysis, development, implementation, testing, documentation and business expertise – based on our strong commitment to “Lean Thinking”.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Collect and maintain project related data
Prepare presentations
Analyze project data
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with project teams
Record and disseminate Meeting Minutes
Maintain MIRO Project Board
Partner with process stakeholders to map current state process map
Identify waste and pain points within process map
Develop possible project solutions and present to project leadership
Implement project solutions
Background & Skills
College Junior level student working towards a Bachelor‡s Degree in Transportation or Logistics related studies with minimum 3.0 GPA
A high level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office Products
Practical experience using SAP is strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills verbal and written required
Detail Oriented
Ability to work with operational workers, staff people, and senior level management
