Position Summary:
The Business Controlling Intern provides support in handling the control of all financial aspects of the business for all the business entities in Airbus Helicopters, North America! Support the coordination of financial planning inputs and prepare variance and financial risk analysis. Provide regular financial reports to support business decisions. The intern will follow accurate financial accounting of the different activities. Assist Business Controlling team in all financial aspects and processes of the business. Provide analysis and support as required by the team. The intern will support the development of templates, volumes and written content, graphics, ensuring correct format for Airbus quality.

Primary Responsibilities:
Control Financial Aspects of the Business Entities: 50%
Collaborate with Business Controlling team in supporting the preparation of regular financial reports on performance of the business. Acquire the vital data required to explain the performance and monitor work in progress.
Complete, analyze and publish key business and financial indicators such as hourly rates, margin analysis, and business trends. Work with the Business Controllers to develop and keep up statistical data and analyses to understand the business cost drivers and use them to support the revenue and margin growth of the lines of business.
Assist with providing and communicating the relevant financial data to the business leaders to support the decision making process. Support audits by fact-finding, data mining to provide the required information for the audit process according to accepted accounting principles and procedures.
2. Preparation of the Operating Plan, Forecasts, OPEX, Workload Capacity: 40%

Support the business team in the preparation of the yearly OPEX and follow on evolution on a regular basis, which includes collaborative meetings and reports.
Assist with the preparation of the Operating Plan in a detailed manner in coordination with business line management and the Business Controlling team.
Work with the Business Controlling team on the preparation of quarterly forecasts for the line of business to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
Provide metric development and reporting for upper management.
3. Ad Hoc Requirements: 10%

Participate as needed in meetings and reviews and other duties as assigned
Ensure appropriate data retention is maintained and accessibility is communicated
Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial performance analysis as requested.

Required:
Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience

Evidence of Completion of Project from planning, data research, and preparation with on time submittal within team.

Previous experience in finance or accounting
